Join AAAYA Chicago and fellow Yalies on the Yale Day of Service for ‘Cup of Tea’ English tutoring by registering here.
Cup of Tea is a volunteer-run, adult “English as a Second Language” program at the Chinese American Service League. With a focus on practical English, it helps immigrants build vocabulary for everyday situations and gain confidence in their English abilities. Recent topics have included navigating public transportation and preparing for cold weather.
Volunteers will help students practice their English through vocabulary review, exercises, and conversations in small groups based on the provided lesson plan.
After the event, we will gather those interested and make our way over to Chinatown for lunch. If you have any questions, please email Richard at aaaya.chicago@gmail.com.
