AAAYA Chicago Celebrates AANHPI Month

In honor of the Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage (AANHPI) Month, AAAYA Chicago was excited to celebrate the opening reception at the the 3rd Annual Asian Pacific American Festival of the Arts on May 16th 2025! Attendees had the opportunity to watch jaw dropping performances by multiple inspiring AAPI artists across the nation. These included creative music by Asian American artists; the Civic Orchestra String Quartet, showcasing works by Takemitsu, Zhou, and Hisaishi; Kalyan Pathak’s immersive tour of Indian percussion; a solo exhibition by Jade Yumang. Attendees enjoyed viewing beautiful group decorations across the festival, and getting to know one another in AAAYA Chicago.
