Lecture: The Power and Pleasure of Tea Bowls in Japan WHEN: Thursday March 31, 2016 Meet at 545pm at the stairs next to where they scan tickets (Lecture at 6pm at Price Auditorium) WHERE: Art Institute 111 South Michigan Ave. COST: Thursdays free for Illinois residents

Join AAAYA Chicago as we visit the Art Institute. From Zen meditation to warlords and more, explore the role of tea bowls in Japan and East Asia throughout history to its present day icon status with a visiting professor from the University of North Carolina. After the lecture we can explore the museum and perhaps even go out for dinner at a nearby restaurant.
