On Sunday 7/13/25, AAAYA Northern California chapter hosted its annual summer picnic celebrating and welcoming the incoming Yale Class of 2029! We were lucky to enjoy perfect weather as alumni, students, and their families gathered to share food, conversation, and Bulldog pride.
A lively mix of Yale alumni, recent grads, current students, and proud family members came together to greet the incoming class. It was a warm and informal way to introduce the newest Bulldogs to our vibrant Northern California AAAYA community, helping ease the transition from high school to New Haven.
Guests enjoyed a delicious catered taco buffet that had something for everyone, complemented by a variety of appetizers and desserts contributed by our generous community potluck-style. A highlight was the festive Yale-themed cake featuring none other than Handsome Dan himself.

Whether sharing advice about life at Yale, reminiscing about favorite professors, or simply relaxing on picnic blankets in the shade, the day was filled with memorable moments. We’re excited to see what the Class of 2029 will bring to Yale and beyond. Huge thanks to all the alumni, families, and volunteers who made this event possible. We look forward to continuing this tradition and fostering community through the seasons to come. Go Bulldogs! 🐾💙
