AAAYA national and Rice Alumni Association joint hosted a webinar on mental health issues in the Asian American community featuring Dr. Michelle Chung on Wednesday 4/17 at 5PM PST/ 8PM EST. Dr. Chung is a NYC-based psychologist with expertise in child and adolescent mental health as well as issues within the Asian American community. The webinar began with a 30 minute presentation by Dr Chung followed by a Q&A with pre-submitted questions and live questions. The webinar had over 70 attendees and the high interest emphasizes the need to work towards breaking the silence and fostering a culture of mental health awareness and support within our community. We hope to continue these events in the future for our communities.
