We are thrilled to announce that AAAYA has been honored with the Yale Alumni Association (YAA) Award for Alumni Excellence for the second consecutive year!
This year, AAAYA was recognized for our innovative series of discussions on the impact of last year’s SCOTUS ruling on affirmative action and its effects on the Asian American community.
The series brought together leaders on this issue, including Yale’s own Dean of Admissions, Jeremiah Quinlan, for principled and robust dialogue. Over 500 alumni from around the world engaged with us over the course of four virtually held discussions.
AAAYA was presented this award during the annual YAA Assembly, in front of hundreds of Yale alumni leaders from across the globe. We are deeply humbled by this recognition and grateful for the continued support of our members.
We will share more details from the Assembly weekend, including highlights from the award ceremony and reflections on what this recognition means for AAAYA, in the coming days.
In the meantime, you can view photos from the award ceremony below.
P.S. Our programming on the SCOTUS ruling, as well as AAAYA’s ongoing collaboration with Yale’s admissions team, is made possible through the generous support of alumni like you. Please consider making a contribution to help us continue this important work.
