AAAYA NorCal Strategic Planning Session Saturday, 9:30AM September 25, 2010, San Francisco
Hello, everyone.
I hope you had a wonderful summer! Now it's time to get back into the thick of things again. We have several excellent events coming up that will get you thinking you're back in New Haven again. First up on October 7th is a “Master's Tea” (or should we say “chai”) with Judge Donna Ryu '82, which will be hosted at the offices of Manatt Phelps in San Francisco. In late October/early November, we are planning a Bollywood Blow-out party. Both events will be popular, so put them on your calendar and look for details in your inbox soon.
We've had a successful first two years for our AAAYA chapter, with so many volunteers organizing a number of great events. To ensure our chapter's ongoing success, we need to plan for our future, so we are organizing a strategic planning session for Saturday, September 25th, 9:30 AM to noon, at the home of Wayne Lew '72 in San Francisco. The proposed agenda includes:
What should be our mission? Organizing our chapter for long-term success Beyond events — developing ongoing programs for alumni Recruiting the next group of officers to move our chapter forward
Wayne's home: 2224 Vallejo Street in San Francisco, between Webster and Fillmore Streets (map).
We hope you'll join us for this important meeting. For those of you who want to participate, but can't join us in person, we will arrange for a conference call dial-in. In addition, you are welcome to email us ideas and input at any time.
Wayne suggests an optional lunch and a neighborhood walk after the conclusion of the meeting, since his home is a stone's throw from Union Street and Upper Fillmore and a mere 12 minute walk to Japantown. These areas have undergone significant changes of late.
RSVP's would be appreciated at (click here to reveal email address).
