Come join AAAYA NorCal for a Lunar New Year dim sum brunch and/or Southwest Airlines Chinese New Year Parade on Saturday, February 27th.
The day will start at 1:00pm with a no-host dim sum brunch at City View Restaurant (662 Commercial Street near Kearny St., tel: (415) 398-2838 map) in downtown San Francisco, just 2 blocks from Chinatown. For details about the restaurant, see www.yelp.com/biz/city-view-restaurant-san-francisco.

After brunch, we will spend the next couple of hours meandering through Chinatown and staking out a good spot from which to watch mysugardaddysite.com the famous Southwest Airlines Chinese New Year parade — voted one of the top 10 parades in the US. For those interested, there are bleacher seats available for $30 each. Otherwise, the parade is free.
If there is mysugardaddysite.com enough interest, we can order bleacher seats as a group for a 10% discount. The parade starts at 5:15pm, and ends at 8pm. The bleacher seats are located on Kearny Street (map), either between Bush and Pine Streets or Post and Sutter Streets.
Notes: — Folks are welcome to join the group for just brunch. — For those who would like to meet up for just the parade, note that it will be difficult to meet up with any latecomers once we leave the dim sum restaurant @3pm. — The restaurant and parade are accessible via public transportation. — Parking may be difficult, unless you get there very early, or park off the beaten track away from Chinatown. — Please dress comfortably as it is expected that you will be doing quite a bit of walking/standing over the course of the day. It may also get cold, so bringing an extra layer is advisable. — The parade is not recommended for small children or pets as it will be crowded and loud.
