Join YPC, AAAYA, JETAA, Yale alums and friends at the opening night of the Asian Pop Up Cinema event showing the movie Survival Family. Survival Family takes a look at how an urban family’s life is changed when an extended global blackout occurs and they decide to leave Tokyo in this post-apocalyptic road movie. It is a mellow and at times comical chronicle of the evolution of a self-indulgent family at a time of crisis. Director Shinobu Yaguchi articulates the collective anxiety still haunting his home country in this family drama. Yaguchi and the Tokyo international sales agent will be there for a Q&A session moderated by Mark Schilling of the Japan Times.

Prepayment by Thursday 2/23 is necessary to reserve the discounted tix. We will meet inside near the ticket takers podium where Genea will pass out the group tickets at 630pm.
