About the Event

Join us in this second event in our Affirmative Action series with a candid chat with former Yale Admissions Officer, James Kim (YC'11). Pulling from his experience as a Yale Admissions Officer, James will provide a candid, insider's view of the applicant review process. If you've ever been curious how Yale reviews applicants, then this is an event you should not miss! Additionally, James will also share his perspectives on how the recent Supreme Court ruling on affirmative action may impact admissions.

Please note, this event will not be recorded.

You may submit questions for this event in advance to info@aaaya.org

James is a Partner at Reach Capital, an early stage venture capital firm that supports entrepreneurs developing technology solutions for the future of learning and work. Prior to Yale, James served as Chief Academic Officer at 12+ and high school math teacher with Providence Public Schools. James earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar; an MA in Education from the Stanford Graduate School of Education; and a BS cum laude in Astrophysics, with Distinction in the Major, from Yale University (DC '11). In his spare time, he enjoys CrossFit, powerlifting, escape rooms, social deduction games, and hanging out with his wife and two young boys.
