About the Event
Cambodian New Year (or Khmer New Year; Khmer: បុណ្យចូលឆ្នាំខ្មែរ [ɓon coːl cʰnam kʰmae]) is the traditional celebration of the solar new year in Cambodia.
We'll meet at 9am for a guided tour of the main temple and the stupa, with explanation of the different ceremonies that will be held. Watch traditional Cambodian dances, sample street food from different vendors and purchase unique gifts.
While the festival is free to attend, bring cash for your purchases at this popular local annual festival in Silver Spring. Limited parking. Carpool or uber recommended.
