About the Event
Cambodian New Year (or Khmer New Year; Khmer: បុណ្យចូលឆ្នាំខ្មែរ [ɓon coːl cʰnam kʰmae]), also known as Choul Chnam Thmey (Khmer: ចូលឆ្នាំថ្មី [coːl cʰnam tʰməj] is the traditional celebration of the solar new year in Cambodia.
Watch dancers performing traditional Cambodian dances, and hear from AAAYA DC's Rita Pin Ahrens, a short explainer and history of the two processions. Look for the AAAYA banner on the lawn for our meeting spot.
