We had a wonderful evening Saturday April 8th, 2023 with Chef Vanda Asapahu at her restaurant Ayara Thai in Los Angeles. Chef Vanda Asapahu is an alumni of both schools (UCLA '04 & Yale '06 MPH) and mixed and mingled with guests during the ticketed multiple-course, prix-fixe modern Thai dinner, personally curated by the chef herself. The dinner event was a collaboration between the Association of Asian American Yale Alumni (AAAYA) and the Asian Pacific Alumni of UCLA (APA UCLA). There were a handful of attendees who were alumni of both schools as well - goes to show what a small world it is! People had a great time making new friends and connections over a delicious meal with drinks and dessert.
