AAAYA NorCal Holiday Party, Sunday, December 20th, 11 AM – 3 PM, RSVP

After a long hiatus, the Northern California Chapter of the AAAYA is bringing back the AAAYA Holiday Party, a much-loved tradition started by Margie Fa-Kaji ’82 and Katharine Hsiao ’82.  Jimmy Lu ’77 and his wife Dora Mao will host this year’s party in their Atherton home.  Join us for a great event sure to be filled with holiday cheer and laughter!

To encourage fun and laughs, the White Elephant Gift Exchange is also returning by popular demand.  Participation in the Gift Exchange is purely optional.  If you want to join in the fun, bring a gift (unused) that’s been sitting in your home that you would like to pass on to someone else (remember, one person’s junk is another’s treasure!).  Or, if you don’t have a ready-made white elephant, you can still partake by buying a small gift (value of $10 or less).  All gifts should be wrapped — and deceptive wrapping makes for a better exchange!

This party will be a Potluck Lunch!  Please bring a hearty appetizer (i.e., no chips or crackers) or entrée to share.  Portions should be enough for 6-8 people.  Our gracious hosts will provide drinks and dessert, but if you want to bring your favorite wine or beer, please feel free.

RSVP no later than December 18th by registering at http://aaayanorcalholidayparty2009.eventbrite.com/.

Feel free to tell your Yale classmates and friends who may not yet be on the AAAYA email list.  See you on December 20th!
